Scrapbook stickers are an inexpensive way to add a great new look to your albums.

3.Check out our ideas for using your scraps ~ create a lovely photo frame with four hand-cut strips of paper. No one said that you had to have a paper cutter or that the outline can’t be out of different materials. What about using scraps of ribbon or buttons to create a frame.Make use of what you have, and add some difficulty and strength without breaking your pocket book. I got a great idea recently to use a scrap piece of material I had left over from making a top.I just cut it a little larger then a 12 x 12 piece of cardboard.  Adhesive sprayed the cardboard and laid the material right on of the 12 x 12 piece, folded the sides over.  And presto!  A one a kind design.Your family and friends will think you’re a genius.   Just add your scrapbook stickers and scrapbooking supplies.

4.Top Secret Ingredient ~ Punch up your layout by placing the title and border down the center. The assortment will surprise and delight people who look through your album.Make an effort adding the title to a cut out circle and putting the letters around the edge of the circle. There isn’t a set rule that a title had to be in a straight line.

5.       Matting techniques in your scrapbook layout.Cut down “cooking” time by matting more then one photo on one strip of scrapbook paper.Create the fantasy of photo mats by placing photos close to one another. This works especially well when working with complementary colors.

6.Acquire more use out of enhancements by trimming and using portions of the photo. You will not only capture more on your layout, but you will also tell a greater story.  Do you have to have a face in every photo?  Absolutely, not !  Sometimes, just a picture of a leg kicking the soccer ball in to the goal is a picture worth a thousand words and tells a story by itself.

7.What do you think about getting together with some of your scrapbooking co-workers.Each of you can make the same design 5 times and by giving one of your designs to your friends, you will each in turn have a different design layout with it’s own exceptional style. We don’t have any rule in scrapbooking that says we had to be the creator of each design layout in your album.Sharing your ideas with your friends allows you to inspire other people and spreads the wealth of creativity.   Make sure you bring your scrapbook supplies and scrapbook stickers.

Allow yourself to think outside the box and dare to do something different.  Get post cards, hotel card keys, door hangers, leaves, dried flowers, nylon mesh melon sacks. You’ll be surprised at the creativeness and uniqueness with our one of a kind scrapbook layouts you can come up with when using out of the box embellishments.Utilize some sand paper out of Dad’s garage for sand on a beach and tear the edges of it.What a great idea for a beach themed scrapbook layout. My family and I recently created a hammock by using the nylon mesh from some watermelons that I purchased at the store. My friends thought it was the neatest idea’s and wondered where, I purchased the nylon from. When I told my true secret, my friends just about died laughing, but truly thought it was a stroke of genius. We just don’t know when that inspiration will hit, so always be on the look out.

Getting Your Scrapbook Supplies Organized

authoradmin | September 13, 2009

New to scrapbooking?  Is it a past-time that you enjoy more everyday?  If so, you may need to increase your scrapbook supplies.  Beginners tend to start out little, but as your quality gets better, so may your ideas.  Unfortunately, the more scrapbook supplies you buy, the harder it can be to stay organized.

Prior to targeting ways you can organize your scrapbook supplies, you should know why it’s critical to do so.  For a start, organization can improve your scrapbook quality.  You could have found a neat sticker sheet for Valentine’s Day, but if you can’t find it, you can opt for your 2nd choice.

Speaking of which, that leads to another benefit of staying organized, saving money.  If you cannot find a supply that you purchased, because of being unorganized, you can purchase another.  This could lead to you spending pointless money.  And, when you eventually do find what you needed, you may not use it again.

So, how can you keep your scrapbooking supplies organized?  In all honesty, your options are not limited.  A favored approach is to buy clear plastic storage drawers.  Inside each drawer you can keep your scrapbook supplies.  As an example, one drawer can house all of your paper, another your pictures, another your stickers, and another your other supplies,eg scissors, adhesives, and pens.

You may rely on the use of ziplock bags.  They come in a number of different sizes, so the majority of your scrapbook supplies should fit within.  Have 1 bag for your stickers, one for your pens, one for your glue, and so on.  If you have got a large collection of stickers, sort them.  For example, place all Yuletide stickers in one bag and Easter stickers in another.  After they are filled, all of these ziplock bags can be stored in a card box.

If you have just started scrapbooking and have not begun to develop a massive collection of scrapbook supplies, an expandable storage case or poly envelope can take care of the things.  These items are very affordable and can even be included in a newb’s scrapbooking kit.  As you increase your supplies, you can examine other options if you end up limited on room.

If you are an avid or professional scrapbooker, you also have the option of purchasing put away away tables.  These tables not only provide you with a workstation, but hidden compartments for you to store your scrapbooking supplies.  As for why this product is best left for avid or pro scrapbookers, it is because they are expensive.  A stow away table for scrapbooking can easily cost a couple of hundred dollars.

in addition to organizing your bought scrapbook supplies, you also need to keep your photographs arranged.  There are a number of advantages to doing so.  One of those benefits is not missing anything.  If you are making a scrapbook in sequential order, you could be disappointment when you later found a picture too late.  When your photos are arranged, this will not be a problem.

How, then, should you arrange your photographs?  It depends on the flow of your scrapbook.  As formerly mentioned if you are doing a book in chronological order, begin with the footage you will use first,eg your baby’s first year.  If you’ve got a hundred or more photographs, a pile may be out of the question.  Standard pictures fit into ziplock bags, so utilize them.  In keeping with chronological order, label each bag with the year.

As well as organizing your scrapbooking supplies and photos, also organize your workstation.  If you’re like many hobbyists, you will scrapbook at your kitchen table.  This is okay, but keep your table clear.  This lets you spread out your scrapbook supplies, making sure you don’t miss anything critical.  If you only have a set amount of time to scrapbook, stop early to clean up.  Make sure all your supplies go back into their designated section.

As pointed out above, keeping your scrapbook supplies organized is a very easy process, especially as you have so many possibilities.

Using Scrapbooking Supplies to Make Your Own Scrapbook

authoradmin | August 18, 2009

Never before has it been easier to create your own memory book using scrapbooking supplies that are easily available in stores and online, designing your own scrapbook layouts and designs if you choose.

First, you should select what kind of scrapbook you would like to make.  There are different sizes that are available in bookstores and online.

The most common sizes are the 8×12 and the 12×12 inch formats.  These formats are a bit costly but they have above average qualities and can hold a large amount of collections.

The 8×11 format works best since it can fit the printers that are typically of the same size.  You can also use 3 ring binders, which is a great option for a memory book.

You may even put the pages like the format of a post type binder where you can make a double outline.  The pages are attached closely in order that they can be used as one outline.  You may produce photographs on that format even if they are not separately placed on the printer.

Also available are way more cheap scads that you can get in the 8×12 format.  They can be used as college supplies, art, and office supplies as well .

You may have more room from the pages if your choice is to use three ring binders for your .  However, it is better to have top quality binders to help arrange the collections on the pages before organizing them in a post type binder.

It is not advisable to use a spiral non-removable scrapbook because you will be limited on one actual page and you may want to rearrange the pages.  Some people are still purchasing this kind of format because they specialize on a particular accumulation.  This lets them specify the collections from each page.

There are also themed scrapbooking supplies that may exhibit those fun memories.  Your children may enjoy having a look at the pictures so they can see how styles and trends looked back then.  Neighbors and friends who visit your home could enjoy flipping through the pages rather than just taking a look at old photo albums.

It is always pleasurable to recollect the moments in your life by taking a look at your scrapbook.  Making a memory book with a variety of themes is easy to organize especially if you use inexpensive scrapbooking supplies.

Each page can have a different theme.  In fact, you can save more time and money when you apply the same color on the background if you want. There is such a variety of scrapbooking supplies at hand that the sky is the limit when it comes to design.
