Beaded Friendship Bracelets

Are you wanting a great accessory to symbolize your friendship to another?  Try a friendship bracelet.  They’re private and sentimental ; and the best part is that you can make them by yourself! First off make sure you have what you need for making bead jewelry

The neat thing is that beaded jewerly making can be enjoyed by all the family. Friendship bracelets have been around for many , many years.  Folk tradition claims that when anyone gives you a friendship bracelet, you must wear it and not remove it till it falls off on it’s own.  Taking it off implies that you are ending your friendship with the person that gave it to you. .

These bracelets are really easy to make.  Most designers use embroidery thread in making them but you can also choose to use hemp.  There are also a lot of knot styles to choose from such as the double-chain knot and the braid but the most commonly-used one is the half-hitch knot.  If you are making the bracelet out of embroidery thread, try using 2 colors.  You can also mix your favorite with that of your buddy’s to make it more personalized and remarkable.

When making the bracelet, begin by cutting three strands of one color and three strands of the other.  You must have a total of six strands in your hand.  Tie a knot about an inch from the end of all 6 strands.  Make sure that you secure the strands with a weight because you’ll be pulling on them.  Form a single knot with the first three strands and another with the leftover three strands till the bracelet is the length you want it to be.  Secure the ends with another knot and trim them.

One way that you can make your friendship bracelet more special is to add handmade glass beads to them.  You may even select beads that are symbolic to you and your friend.  Try looking for beads that represent what it is that you like about your chum or maybe something that reflects both of your personalities.

To add beads to your bracelet, simply thread floss into a needle and string the beads according to the pattern that you like.  Be careful when stringing your beads so that you won’t make that many mistakes.  It is also helpful to design the pattern before you begin to make the bracelet.

Making friendship bracelets is truly a way to bond with your mate.  It’s straightforward to make and the product is truly something that you will both love for a very long time.

Choosing Perfect Beads for Bracelet and Necklace

Choosing Beads for Bracelets

When selecting perfect beads in making your own bracelet and necklace, you have innumerable sources to select from.  You want to ensure that your finished home made product is worth your time and costs, and of course you would like them to look stunning when selling them.  Together with your beads you may wish to add some gold or silver, there are plenty of tips on how to choose gold charm jewelry that you can find by researching online .

Selecting the perfect beads truly requires a lot of effort.  Always ask yourself what’s the purpose, what kind of jewelry will you be making, and what style of jewelry do you wish to create.  If you like to make ultra modern jewelry, you will probably pick beads that are made from different colored glass and plastic as well as shining gold and silver colors.  If you’re after top quality jewelry, don’t select inexpensive plastic beads, go pick handmade glass beads or Lucite beads.  These beads have high sturdiness and they can keep their shine and beauty while plastic ones can’t.

If you want an ethnic look in your bracelet and necklace, you want to select more earth tone beads ; these beads have natural colors like black, brown, and tan.  You may also try mixing painted wood beads with basic colors like yellow, green, and red, this could create more accents to your jewelry.  Ethnic look jewelry can be designed by recreating some African jewelry, American Indian jewelry.  Beach jewelry can be created with some shells, shark teeth, and pebbles.

You can look for beads that you need for your bracelet and necklace online.  Just make sure that when purchasing online, those beads have a return policy in case there are damages to the beads.  It is a complete waste of money paying for broken and useless beads.  There are many places online that you should buy from, but the issue is attempting to find trustworthy and cheap providers.  The nice thing about a site like eBay is that there is always feedback so you can see the history of the seller.  If you are attempting to find beads then use eBay to find cheap beads

However if you want to test and personally get your own beads, there are jewelry beads that are available in bulk lots.  This idea of purchasing personally in bulk lots at wholesalers close to you is that it is quicker compared to internet shopping, where you will have to wait for two days for the materials to be delivered.  And again, ask if they also have a return policy when purchasing bulk beads as there are certain to be some that are damaged.

Lastly, just be comfortable to use different beads designs that suit your taste, whether it is for your bracelet or for your necklace.  Beads are boundlessly available in many colors and materials for bead enthusiasts like you to help you create wonderful jewelry pieces.
